Description

Philodendron Pink Princess is a terrific climbing Aroid with dark leaves and light pink variegated blotches. The young leaves emerge as a dark olive-green with almost white variegation, maturing to a deep green, almost black with bright pink spots. It is one of the most popular houseplants these days and for good reason: This Aroid is as beautiful as it is easy to care for!

Philodendron Pink Princess has plenty of light pink variegation and will reward you with more under the right conditions! When you provide good lighting the plant should eventually produce darker foliage with darker shades of pink as it matures. Please remember that no direct sunlight should touch the plant’s leaves. If the plant will get too much light, the leaves will begin to turn yellow and scorch.

Plant your rarePhilodendron Pink Princess  in a loose potting mix, like a special Aroid Potting Mix. This plant will also do well in soil-less potting medium like sphagnum, peat-vermiculite or peat-perlite.

Philodendron Pink Princess is a climber so give it a support pole, such as our Golden Plant Stakes, to help it reach its full potential.

Philodendron Care Tips

Light

Philodendrons thrive in medium to bright indirect light, but will tolerate darker spots as well.

Soil

Use a well-draining potting mix, such as our Aroid Potting Mix, ideally containing some coco coir, bark and perlite. You can also grow Philodendrons in soil-less mixes like sphagnum moss and perlite or hydroponics.

Water

Philodendrons like their soil to dry between waterings. Water when the top 3cm of soil are totally dry to the touch.

Humidity

Most Philodendron, especially the Erubesecens varieties, will thrive in average humidity. However, some of the more tropical and velvety species will require higher humidity to survive.

Toxicity

All Philodendron are toxic to humans and animals if ingested.
