This super rare Philodendron Gloriosum would be an exciting addition to any collection! The leaves are heart-shaped, very dark green and velvety-like to touch with cream coloured contrasting vines. This plant is native to Colombia, however it can be also found in other tropical parts of the world. Gloriosum is a terrestrial philodendron, which means it crawls on the ground as opposed to climbing the trees. The more light you provide, the bigger the leaves will grow.
We have planted each of the Philodendron Gloriosum in our in-house made aroid potting mix. It is not advisable that you change the soil at least in the next couple of months.
Size: each plant is between 15-20cm tall and comes in 10-14cm nursery plastic pot. The smallest leaf is around 10cm and the biggest is 20cm long. Each plant has a growth point and a new leaf coming.
Light: bright, indirect light
Soil: loose, well draining potting mix like our aroid mix
Water: only when top 3cm are dry to touch
Ideally, you should pot your Philodendron Gloriosum in a long planter that will allow the plant to crawl.
Plant Toxicity: toxic to humans and animals when ingested.
