This super rare Philodendron Florida Ghost would be an exciting addition to any collection! New leaves come out as pure white to then transform to lime green followed by green in a week or so. It is a climbing Philodendron that will appreciate a pole to grow on!
It comes in a plastic pot size 10-12cm in diameter and is about 15cm tall. It is well rooted. Philodendron Florida Ghost is a climbing plant, therefore it would be a great idea to attach it to a Brass Plant Support or letting it grow over a Golden Plant Stake.
We highly recommend repotting this plant in spring time into a well draining potting mix, ideally with addition of bark, perlite and activated charcoal.
Please note: this is a juvenile form of Philodendron Florida Ghost that yet has to develop the characteristics of the mature specimen. Leaves are already shaping up and with some time the white colouring should appear too. You will receive a plant similar to shown on the first three pictures, the mother plant is shown on the last two pictures.
Light: bright, indirect sunlight
Soil: fast draining potting mix ideally with bark, perlite and activated charcoal
Humidity: average, however the higher the humidity the more lush the plant is
Water: allow potting mix to dry out before watering. Soil about 3,5cm down should be dry to touch. Water more frequently during warmer months and fertilise during growth season. Generally, the plant will droop to show that it needs more water. Do not overwater or keep the soil wet for too long, as this will encourage root rot.
