Peperomia Argyreia also known as Watermelon Peperomia is a flowering plant in the family of Piperaceae that is Native to Northern America. This plant is best known for the very attractive leaf variegation that resembles the patterns found on watermelons. The leaves are rounded, succulent and marked with silver and green stripes.
Peperomia Argyreia is a relatively small plant that will only grow up to 30cm. Although this plant blooms, nobody buys it for the flowers. Pair it with Violaine Toth planter for a dramatic effect.
Light: although Peperomia Argyiera prefers bright spot, direct sunlight might be too much and eventually wash out its coloration
Water: Watermelon Peperomia likes to be watered on regular basis, you’ll notice it wilt when it needs a drink
Soil: Peat moss-based mix with added perlite and/or vermiculite for faster drainage.
Size: this plant is about 15cm tall and comes in a plastic nurser pot 11-12cm.
