Impatiens Morsei ‘Velvetea’ is a rare flowering beauty from China. As the name indicates, it has velvety leaves that are emerald green with a pink stripe down the mid-vein. Commonly known as Velvet Love, Impatiens has an upright growth habit and hot pink stems. The flowers are shell-like, white with orange and yellow markings and a large white lip. It blooms spring, summer and fall. It needs extra humidity, bright shade, and to be kept moist. In fact, you should never let it dry out!
Impatiens Morsei ‘Velvetea’ is a rather compact, shrub like plant and can grow up to 60cm and whit-stand temperatures as low as 5 degrees. This plant would be suitable to grow in a terrarium.
