Description
Epipremnum Amplissimum (Green Form) is an Aroid vine with gorgeous, dark green and long, lance-shaped leaves. As the plant matures its foliage will transform into palm-like leaves and develop holes (fenestrations) like a Monstera. It is an easy-going, yet exciting plant that’s perfect for beginner houseplant parents!
Epipremnum Amplissimum, also known as Pothos amplifolia, is a member of the Araceae family of plants. Its natural habitat is in parts of Australia and New Guinea. In nature, it grows in the wetlands of lush rainforests, where it climbs trees, clinging onto them with its aerial roots.
Epipremnum Amplissimum is a true easy care plant and thus a great choice for beginners! It is very adaptable to different household conditions, which makes it ideal if you have no experience of looking after houseplants. It also means this plant aren’t hard to place in your home. However, as with every houseplant, this plant will thrive and grow better if you gfive it at least medium light.
Epipremnum Amplissimum will grow happily in a planter or hanging basket. Yet, if you want to see its larger and fenestrated, mature leaves, you will need to provide it with some climbing support, such as a moss pole.
Make sure you plant your Aroid in an airy potting mix! We highly recommend our Aroid Potting Mix, which we developed specifically for this plant family. If you want to make a similar one yourself, it should consist of bark, perlite, and peat moss.
